A crucial piece of any sound recruiting strategy in 2023 is employee advocacy. Employee advocates on social media extend company reach, increase conversion from job post to hire, and their content is 24x more likely to be shared. Employee advocacy leads to more candidates and boosts current employee morale and retention.

Here are some quick facts about employee advocacy:

  • Half of employed Americans (50%) say they would share their company’s social media content on their personal social channels, with nearly a third of employed Americans (30%) saying they already have.
  • On LinkedIn, 30% of a company’s engagement comes from employees.
  • 73% of job seekers between the ages of 18 and 34 years old found their last job through a social media platform.

CareerArc makes employee advocacy easy and automated with our LinkedIn brand ambassador campaigns. Brand ambassadors can be anyone in your company, including recruiters, leadership team members, or anyone you think is a great company representative. When these brand ambassadors share jobs or employer brand content with CareerArc, they're reaching their networks full of people with similar interests and career aspirations, and backgrounds.

Here’s how to get started with CareerArc’s recommendation:

  • Download our Ambassador Email Template - linked here or see below.
  • Edit the Ambassador Email Template and send it to your team: The email gives an overview of CareerArc and instructs your ambassadors to create a support ticket letting us know which jobs to post and when to post them. It even includes a sample support ticket they can copy/paste.
  • Watch the candidates roll in!

Feeling empowered? Have your ambassadors send their requests directly to you, and follow these 3 steps:

  1. Connect. Add your new ambassador’s LinkedIn page using these steps: How to Connect or Reauthorize Social Media Channels
*Tip* Copy/paste their authorization link into a direct email with them in case the CareerArc message we send ends up in a spam/quarantine folder.
  2. Select. Choose which positions your ambassador will publish by creating a Job Filter: Adding and editing job filters
  3. Create. Assemble and launch their new campaign: Campaign Set-Up (Step-By-Step)
OR Use the “Copy” button to duplicate an existing LinkedIn campaign. Once it’s duplicated, you can edit the Settings to match your ambassador’s request.

Ambassador Email Template:

Hi team,

CareerArc is a social recruiting tool the entire [COMPANY] recruiting team has access to. CareerArc has our updated job list, approved images, and captions that are automatically transformed into social posts on your personal LinkedIn profiles to help reach candidates in your network.

These posts are automatically published according to the posting frequency you choose. CareerArc can also customize which jobs are posted, so you can focus on posting the reqs assigned to you. There is no limit on the number of jobs or the number of times you post. We recommend a minimum of two times per week and a maximum of once per day every day.

Did we mention you don’t need to be a CareerArc expert? To get started, please submit a ticket with CareerArc here. You can use the example ticket template below and fill it out with your information. You can decide what jobs to post by telling CareerArc the job titles and locations you’re recruiting for or tell them specific requisition numbers and include links to those req numbers. Note: if you use specific req numbers, you will need to update your campaign more regularly.
