This article walks you through where to find Beacon Reporting in your CareerArc dashboard and also explains how to interpret the data.
Beacon Reporting gives you a deeper insight into your candidates’ application journey and shows you how your social recruiting efforts with CareerArc compare to other sources.
Step 1: Hover over the Reporting tab in the left-hand navigation and select Jobs.
Step 2: Click the Beacons tab towards the top of the page.
Step 3: Select the date range that you’d like to report on in the upper right-hand corner.
- The timeframe defaults to the last 30 days, but you can select a custom date range or choose one of the pre-selected timeframes.
Step 4: The number of tracking beacons that you have installed along your application process dictates what you see in the Candidate Funnel. If you only have 1 tracking beacon installed (Application Complete, for instance), you’ll only see one line of data. If you have multiple beacons installed, you’ll see a longer funnel of data.
In the example below, this client has 1 tracking beacon on their Application Complete page. We can see the number of completed applications from CareerArc on the left, the number of completed applications from other sources on the right, and the total number of completed applications in the middle. This is a good visual for how your social recruiting efforts with CareerArc (left) compare to your other applicant sources (right). You can also export this data by clicking Export.
One thing to note regarding Tracking Beacon reporting vs. your ATS Source Code reporting -- both are capturing different things so you won’t see a 1:1 relationship between the two. That’s because Tracking Beacons are a first touch attribution and track candidates for up to 30 days, whereas source codes are a last-touch attribution and only track candidates that click on a job and apply right away.
Congratulations! You should now know where to find your Beacon reporting and also how to read it. For more information on Tracking Beacons and Source Codes, click here.
