This article is a step-by-step guide on how to create a Facebook Careers Tab and how to install it on your company's Facebook page.
CareerArc’s Facebook Career Tab functions as a mini career site and lives as a tab on your company’s Facebook page (desktop version only). It’s a great way to showcase your open jobs, includes an interactive job map, and allows you to include custom content about working at your company.
Step 1: Hover over the Employer Brand tab in the left-hand navigation and select Facebook Career Tabs.
Step 2: Click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select Settings.
Step 3: Fill out the information on this page such as the company display name, the jobs you want to be shown on the tab, and add a banner image. Click Save when done.
Step 4: Make sure the Featured Content box is selected, then click Edit on the right-hand side.
Step 5: Add a Tab Title, Headline, and as much content as you’d like (text, images, videos) that speak to who you are as a company. Click Save when done.
- Be sure to include a blurb about the company, benefits information, culture content, and anything that lets a candidate know why they should work at your company.
Step 6: Time to install! Click the gear icon and select Installation Instructions.
Step 7: Read the information under “Before you proceed”, then continue to click the “I’m Ready - Add Now” or copy the activation link and send it to your Facebook page’s administrator.
- Only page administrators can install the Facebook Career Tab. Anyone that is not an administrator will not be able to install.
Step 8: After the page admin clicks the Add Now button or clicks the activation link, they’ll be asked to “Continue as ___” and should click that button.
Step 9: Select the Facebook Pages drop-down and find the page you’d like to add the Career Tab to (you can only add it to 1 page). Select the page and click Add Page Tab.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully created and installed your Facebook Careers Tab! Want to view a video with these steps? Click here.
